On the weekend of February 10-12, the Elementary and Beginner Teams competed at the 2017 Ontario Regional Synchronized Skating Championships held in North York this year.

It was a fun weekend had by all!

The Elementary kicked off the weekend by gathering at a skater’s house to have team hair and make-up done together.  Plus a pep talk by the coaches.

Elementary had their first skate on Friday afternoon.  Unfortunately, they had a few bumps in this skate. But that didn’t deter them from looking towards their next skate and making improvements.  And that is just what happened!  Their second skate happened early on Saturday morning and it was a great skate!  The team moved up 4 spots to capture a 10th place finish out of 17 teams.  So proud of the girls battling back!

On Sunday, it was the Beginner Team’s turn to compete.  They had a strong skate and improved on their score from the last competition.  This great result lead to the team getting a silver medal.  Way to go girls!

We have a great group of girls on this team that just get stronger and stronger with each passing competition.

They have one more competition this season, March Mania on March 4th.
